The Inhaler NLS series is Mission’s radically new line built for the next generation of roller hockey players. The Inhaler legacy continues with the NLS: 1 skate which has new exciting features as well as familiar and proven technologies that make this roller hockey specific boot one of the best in the business.
The NLS: 1 is built off of a 3D Lasted Curv Composite upper, made famous in Bauer’s top-of-the-line models in the Vapor 1X, Supreme 1S, and Nexus 1N ice hockey skates. This fully composite upper makes its debut for Mission hockey in the NLS series. The anatomically correct Curv Composite upper is of the highest quality featuring unsurpassed strength, durability, support, and feel, which ultimately provides a more comfortable fit and more responsive skate. What takes this quarter package to the next level though is going to be in the incredible heat molding characteristics of Curv itself. With an anatomical fit right out of the box, the NLS: 1’s can be thermoformed around the ankle and heel to give an even more true 360 degree custom fit for any foot shape.
What really makes the Inhaler series stand out is going to be features that help justify its name, its breathability and airflow. Playing roller hockey indoors or outdoors is hot and the Inhaler NLS: 1 features an all new vent shape on both sides of the quarter package. The toe box is also molded with vents on the sides and top for maximum airflow while skating. Even the tongue is covered with vented mesh to promote breathability to let heat and sweat escape from the skate! It’s with these innovations the NSL: 1 is uniquely a roller hockey specific skate, but aesthetically, this line screams roller hockey style. Mission made this skate extremely customizable when it comes to the skates overall look. They returned the colored heel chips and removable Velcro tendon mission logo so that you can mix and match with any uniform. This skate comes complete with 2 different tendon colors and 6 different heel chip insert colors.
For added comfort, this skate features a 37.5 liner; fabrics with this technology dry up to 5 times faster than similar fabrics without it. 37.5 helps to regulate your core body temperature; keeping your foot drier for longer which enhances control and performance. Working alongside the 37.5 liner are Mission’s Indy Foam pads, which offer a pillow like feel as ankle padding. This quilted foam is the perfect amount of ankle comfort inside of a stiff responsive boot. Rounding out the comfort story is the Supple Comfort Edge padding found along the neck of the skate, this helps to alleviate abrasions at the high ankle keeping you comfy when bearing down into those tight turns.
The boot sits atop an ultra-lightweight, full carbon composite outsole with the HI-LO Kryptonium Chassis mounted to it. This is a super lightweight chassis engineered for balance and agility using two 76mm wheels in the front and two 80mm wheels in the back. The idea behind HI-LO is that big wheels go in the back for more speed, while the smaller wheels in the front are for more control. The wheels the NLS: 1 feature is Revision’s Flex wheel. With such a radical change to a roller boot it’s only appropriate to use a radically new wheel featuring inside and outside edge technology. The Flex wheels have an asymmetrical flex ring as a hub, depending on what side of the wheel is used; either maximum grip or maximum speed will be provided. This way you can customize your wheel configuration to give you the grip or speed preferences for your game.
